Captains Marcie and Ted Gephart & Captain Matthew Brown have been training professional mariners since 1988. All are licensed Captains. With many years in the sailboat charter business, doing boat deliveries and sail training, we have developed our classes from the deck of a boat.
Our curriculum is designed to assist all levels and styles of learning. Our program emphasizes training. The exam is based on the material that you have been trained on, therefore it is very accessible to the student making success a standard part of our program
We operate Superior Sailor, a small sailboat charter fleet on Lake Superior that caters to camps, church groups, environmental groups and bare boat customers.
Ted is also a Wisconsin Boater Safety Instructor and a board member of North Coast Community Sailing.
Mr. Brown heads up the Schooner Hjordis Educational program for the North House Folk School in Grand Marais, MN.
